Structure and Team
The AEN Leadership Team
AEN was established as a legal Washington State non-profit association which operates chapters in Washington and Oregon. AEN operates as a author volunteer organization with no paid staff, but rather an author run for author benefit organization with teams for curating membership, marketing & web design, event coordination and equipment set up, we call them sherpas. And WE LOVE OUR SHERPAS!
AEN currently has two chapters operating in 2025 in Seattle and Portland. Both chapters run lean and and depend upon the AEN author community. Together, we create a great experience, mutual accountability, and back-up resources.
In 2026, AEN is collaborating with Sunbury Press to pilot an independent AEN Chapter in the Northeast Tristate area between Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. We anticipate developing the template for creating extended AEN chapters in other major metropolitan areas.
FOUNDER
Guy Morris
Founder Guy Morris debuted as an independent author in 2020. Since then, he has released four multiple award-winning thrillers most often compared to Dan Brown, Michael Crichton, Rollins, Ludlum and others. In 2026, Guy published two nonfiction books, one with Sunbury Press.
Even with awards, his ability to generate online sales frustrated him. Like all authors, Guy sought new approaches to market and sell his books that earned more revenue than they cost. Retired after a career in Fortune 500 leadership, Guy formed AEN to take advantage of an idea he formed while selling at the Blackberry Festival in Bremerton, Washington.
